Getting started

This page walks you through your first few minutes in Odeist AI: creating your account, setting up your brand from your website, connecting the accounts Odeist AI posts to, and turning on your first agents. It ends with a short map of where everything lives, so you know where to look the next day.

Create your account

Sign up at odeist.com/signup. New accounts start with a free trial; the pricing page shows how long it lasts and what it includes. After the trial, the account moves to the free plan with a small allowance of credits each month; growth agents and Ask Odeist come with a paid plan. See Credits and plans for how plans work.

Set up your brand

Odeist AI works per brand. When a brand has no profile yet, Today shows Set up Odeist from your website with an Add your website button. The set-up opens as a short guided window, Set up Odeist, in four steps:

  • Website. Enter your website address and choose Write my profile. Odeist AI reads the site and writes your brand profile. It takes about a minute. No website yet? Choose Set up the brand by hand.
  • Brand profile. Odeist AI writes six documents: Product, Buyers, Competitors, Voice, Visual style and Action plan. Every post and reply follows them. You can read and edit each one later on the Brand page.
  • Accounts. Connect LinkedIn, X or Instagram, the places your posts go. You can add more than one account per network, or choose Skip for now.
  • Agents. Odeist AI suggests agents prefilled from your brand profile, such as LinkedIn posts, LinkedIn replies, X posts, X replies and Instagram posts. Choose Set up on one, check its settings, then Create agent. It runs on its schedule.

When you finish, a short tour points out the main parts of the app. You can take it again any time from the account menu at the foot of the sidebar: Take the tour.

Turn on growth agents

The set-up only offers social agents. Growth agents work on search, AI answers, articles and communities. Turn them on in Brand › Agents, under Grow beyond your feeds. Each one has a switch, a Settings button and Run now. Read Growth agents for what each one does.

Where things live

The sidebar has four main items, and a phone shows the same four in a bar along the bottom:

  • Today: what needs you now (drafts to approve and ideas from your agents), what is coming up and how this week went.
  • Team: your agents, and a chat with Odeist AI and with each of them. It opens beside the page you're on. See Ask Odeist.
  • Calendar: your posts by week, by month or as a list of drafts, scheduled posts and everything that was published.
  • Analytics: what's working, what to fix, and the numbers for your posts and your website.

Above these items is the brand switcher. Pick one brand, or All brands to see every brand's drafts together. Brand in the same menu opens the brand's page: its profile documents, connected accounts, plan, reports and activity. + New brand adds another brand, up to what your plan includes.

Account-wide settings are under Settings, opened from the account menu: Profile, Plan, Credits, Invite friends, Notifications, Ask Odeist, Appearance, Brands and Team. Anything about one brand lives on its Brand page.
