Teams
A team lets other people work in your Odeist AI account with their own sign-in. You stay the owner; each teammate is an editor, who can do the daily work, or a viewer, who can see everything but change nothing. This page covers inviting people, what each role can do, and how teammates switch between accounts.
Who can have a team
Teams are part of the paid plans and the free trial. Each plan includes a number of seats, and the count includes you. Open invites count towards the seats too. When the seats are all used, Odeist AI tells you how many your plan includes, and you can remove someone or upgrade. See Credits and plans and the pricing page.
Inviting a teammate
- Open Settings › Team, or choose Invite teammates in the account menu at the foot of the sidebar.
- Under Invite a teammate, enter their email address and pick a Role: Editor or Viewer.
- Choose Send invite.
Odeist AI emails them a link. You can also Copy link and send it yourself. The link works for 7 days; an expired invite shows in Open invites, where you can invite them again for a new link. Inviting the same address again replaces its open invite, and Revoke withdraws one.
Joining a team
The person you invite opens the link and signs in, or creates an account, with the email address the invite was sent to. That address must be verified first. The page shows whose team it is and what their role allows, and they join from there.
Teammates then switch between their own account and the teams they are on from the account menu in the sidebar, under Accounts.
What each role can do
The owner (you) can do everything, and some things only you can do:
- manage the team: invite, remove and change roles,
- choose the plan and buy credits,
- delete a brand,
- add or change the connected tools (MCP) that Ask Odeist uses.
Your profile, notifications and billing stay yours; teammates never see or change them.
Editors do the daily work in your brands: they approve posts, act on cards in Today and run agents. They can ask Ask Odeist questions and let it take actions, each one waiting for their Allow, as it does for you.
Viewers see everything: Today, posts, agents and numbers. They can't change anything. If a viewer tries, Odeist AI explains that they can view the account but not change it, and to ask the owner to make them an editor. Viewers can ask Ask Odeist questions, but it won't take actions for them.
Changing or removing someone
In Settings › Team, under Teammates, you can change a person's role or choose Remove. They lose access at once, and you can invite them again later.
A teammate can leave a team themselves from Teams you're on with Leave. They lose access at once, and the owner can invite them again.
When the plan ends
If the owner's plan ends, a new invite can't be accepted: the person joining is asked to have the owner choose a plan first.
