Brand

The Brand page holds everything Odeist AI knows about one brand and everything it does for it: the agents, what they did, client reports, the profile documents every post follows, the connected accounts and the brand's plan. This page covers the profile documents, your writing voice, connected accounts and keeping the documents fresh.

The tabs

Open Brand from the brand switcher at the top of the sidebar. The page has these tabs:

  • Agents: the brand's social agents and growth agents, with suggested agents prefilled from the profile. See Social agents and Growth agents.
  • Profile: the brand documents and your voice.
  • Integrations: social accounts and the services the growth agents use.
  • Plan: a 30-day plan Odeist AI keeps for the brand.
  • Reports: a client report for the dates you pick (the last 7 or 30 days, last week, this month, or any two dates), and the Monday email with last week's report.
  • Activity: what the agents did.

How visible the brand is in search and AI answers is in Analytics.

Manage at the top of the page holds the brand's details, a read-only share link and, for the account owner, deleting the brand. How client reports look (your agency's name, logo and colour) is on Reports; whether a post waits for your approval is each task's own setting.

Brand documents

Odeist AI writes six documents from your website when you set up the brand:

  • Product: what you sell, with facts from your website only
  • Buyers: who buys, how to spot them and what to tell them
  • Competitors: who else buyers consider, and your edge
  • Voice: how you sound
  • Visual style: how your posts look
  • Action plan: what to post and do, week by week

Every post and reply follows these documents, so it pays to read them once. Open one on Profile, choose Edit, change what is wrong and Save. Each document keeps its Earlier versions, marked by where each came from (from your website, uploaded, edited by you, or updated by the coach), and you can Restore any of them.

You can also add documents of your own with Upload document: a PDF, Word (.docx), text, Markdown or CSV file of up to 10 MB, such as a pricing sheet or a launch plan. Your agents read it when they write posts, replies and articles: each upload in full while they fit (about 15,000 characters in all, in title order), and past that the parts that match what a post or article is about, so a fact in your tenth upload is still used when you ask for a post about it. Deleting an uploaded document deletes its earlier versions too.

Competitors

Your competitors show under the documents on Profile, with what Odeist AI looks for in one line. To correct them, choose the pencil:

  • ✓ says one is right. Odeist AI keeps it when it searches again and uses it as an example of a real competitor.
  • × takes one out and asks why: a different buyer, a different product, much bigger, another market or country, a directory, marketplace or agency, not in business any more, or your own words. Odeist AI never brings it back, by its name or its website, and leaves out others like it the next time it searches.
  • + adds one by its website.

Choose Save when you're done. The ones you took out are listed under the competitors, each with Put back.

Keeping documents fresh

Each document has a small dot that shows how fresh it is:

  • Up to date: nothing to do.
  • Older than 30 days: click the dot to refresh that document from your website.
  • Your website changed since this was written: for example, the brand's website address changed. Click to rewrite it from the new site.

When several documents are out of date, a banner offers Refresh all old documents. To rewrite all six at once, for example after a redesign or a pricing change, choose Resync from website at the top of Profile. Your current versions stay in each document's history. Documents you uploaded aren't refreshed from the website.

Your voice

On Profile, Your voice is the one place you teach Odeist AI how you write. It shows what it has learned so far, then works one platform at a time: pick LinkedIn, X, Instagram or Facebook. Every agent writes that way from its next post, including posts, replies, articles, Hacker News and outreach. Today's Your voice button and each agent's Learning tab bring you here.

  • Your own posts. With an account connected on that platform, Read my posts reads your recent posts there, then writes a few sample posts the same way. If no account is connected yet, Connect opens the connection first. On LinkedIn only a company page's posts can be read.
  • Sample posts. Short posts, each a little different (shorter, more casual, a bolder claim…). Choose Keep or Not me, with a reason if you like, or Other to say why in your own words. Once you've rated a few rounds this folds to one line; Rate more opens it again.
  • Other ways to teach it. Paste your writing: two to five things you wrote yourself, such as posts, emails or a launch note, from which Odeist AI rewrites your Voice document (you can add a line on anything to always or never do, such as "Never use emojis"). Posts you like: posts you wish you had written, by link or by pasting the text; posts and replies follow their style, never their words.

Your ratings of real posts count too: a thumbs up or down in Activity, and posts you approve or reject on the review page. Save to Voice writes everything rated so far into your Voice document, which you can read, edit or restore.

Integrations

The Integrations tab has two parts.

Social accounts are where posts and replies go: X, LinkedIn and Instagram. Add one with Add connector. Facebook isn't available yet. Each account has a switch, Allow our agent to learn from this account, which lets Odeist AI learn from what you already posted there.

Website, search and email holds the services the growth agents publish to or read from:

  • Your website: WordPress, WordPress.com, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity, HubSpot or GitHub, where articles and fixes are published.
  • Search data: Google Search Console and Google Analytics, read-only.
  • A mailbox for outreach: Gmail or Outlook. Odeist AI only sends the emails you approve and can't read your mail.
  • Ad accounts: Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads, for the Ads agent.

Credentials go to Odeist AI's server and are never shown again. Use Disconnect on a service's row to remove it, or Change where it is offered.

More than one brand

Your plan sets how many brands you can have. See all of them under Settings › Brands, or add one with + New brand in the brand switcher.
