Posts and calendar

Calendar is where you see everything Odeist AI writes for a brand, before and after it goes out: scheduled posts, drafts waiting for approval, your agents' planned runs and what was published, with its numbers.

Week, Month and List

Open Calendar. Week and Month show the posts on a grid, with Today to jump back and arrows to move between weeks or months. List shows the next two weeks day by day; filter it to Drafts (waiting for you), Scheduled (everything on the schedule, drafts included) or Published. Odeist AI remembers the view you last used on each device.

The legend explains the marks on each day:

  • Scheduled run: an agent is set to write at this time.
  • Waiting for approval: a draft is ready and needs you.
  • Scheduled: approved, and waiting for its time.
  • Posted: it went out.
  • Didn't post: it was due but didn't go out.

Reply agents look for conversations several times a day, so their runs aren't shown.

Click a day to open it. You see everything on that day and a Schedule button to add a post there.

Changing a scheduled post

Each entry on the calendar has these actions. A draft also has Approve and Skip, with Undo for a few seconds after either.

  • Edit post: opens the post in a panel on the right, as it will look, to change its words (by hand or with Rewrite with AI) and its time.
  • Reschedule: pick a new date and time. The time must be at least a minute from now. A draft you move still needs your approval; once approved, it waits for the new time.
  • Discard draft or Cancel post: Odeist AI asks you to confirm, and then it won't be posted.
  • A link to the live post, once it has gone out.

Scheduling a post yourself

Choose Schedule a post at the top of Calendar (or in Coming up on Today). Then:

  • Post from: pick the posting agent or account it goes out from. Posts are scheduled on a running posting agent, so you need one for LinkedIn, X or Instagram first. See Social agents.
  • When: a date and time in your time zone.
  • Choose I'll write it and type the post, or Odeist writes it and describe what the post should say, for example "announce our autumn sale, 20% off until Sunday". Odeist AI writes it in your brand's voice.

Instagram posts need an image, so for Instagram Odeist AI writes the caption and makes the image.

When Odeist AI writes the post, the draft waits for your approval in Today first. Once approved, it posts at the time you picked. Approvals are part of the paid plans and the trial; without them, Odeist AI can't hold its draft for you, so write the post yourself. When you write it yourself, it is scheduled straight away and you can move or cancel it from the calendar until then.

Published

Published in the list (/calendar?view=list&filter=published) lists every post and reply that went out for the brand, with a link to each one and its numbers. Filter by agent with All agents, and use Show more to go further back.

Rate any post or reply with a thumbs up or down. Your ratings, approvals and edits feed Learned rules: short rules Odeist AI writes for each agent, such as "Open with a question, not a statistic". Every post that agent writes follows them. You can edit or delete a rule; a deleted rule isn't learned again.

Networks

Calendar covers X, LinkedIn and Instagram. Growth agent work, such as articles or Hacker News drafts, appears in Today as cards, not on this calendar.
