Languages
Odeist AI works with two kinds of language. The app language is the one Odeist AI speaks to you in: its screens, dates, numbers and messages. The writing language is the one your agents write in for your audience. They can differ: you can read Odeist AI in German and post in English. This page explains how to set each.
The app language
Odeist AI's app is available in 17 languages:
- English
- Deutsch (German)
- Español (Spanish)
- Français (French)
- Português (Portuguese)
- Italiano (Italian)
- Nederlands (Dutch)
- Svenska (Swedish)
- Русский (Russian)
- Türkçe (Turkish)
- हिन्दी (Hindi)
- 한국어 (Korean)
- 日本語 (Japanese)
- 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese)
- 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
- العربية (Arabic)
- اردو (Urdu)
Arabic and Urdu read right to left, and the app's layout turns to match.
Until you choose, Odeist AI uses the first of your browser's languages that it speaks, or English. To choose, open Settings › Appearance and pick under Language, or use Language in the account menu at the foot of the sidebar. Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to every device you sign in on.
The app language also sets the language of what Odeist AI says to you outside the app screens, such as the morning rundown and Odeist AI's messages to you.
The language your agents write in
Each social agent has its own Language setting, in its settings:
- For a posting agent, its posts are written in it.
- For a reply agent, its replies are written in it, and it replies to posts written in it.
A new agent starts with your app language, unless you pick another for it. The list of writing languages is longer than the app's, and includes, among others, Polish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Bengali, Indonesian, Malay, Vietnamese and Thai.
So if you want posts in two languages, for example English on LinkedIn and Spanish on X, give each agent its own language.
What the growth agents write in
Growth agents write for the whole brand: articles, replies for communities, meta descriptions and clips. They follow the brand's content language, which is the language most of the brand's social agents write in, or English when it has none.
The SEO and AI answers agents also have a Market setting for each brand: the country (or city) and the language their search and AI data is for. Change it in either agent's settings on Brand › Agents; the change applies from the next run.
Teams
The app language is personal. Each teammate picks their own, and it doesn't change the language your agents write in. See Teams.
